Jeff Gouveia

General Manager

Jeff Gouveia is the General Manager for the Bear Valley Water District. Mr. Gouveia joined the management team at BVWD in May 2012. Prior to becoming the District's General Manager, Jeff raised his two sons in Bear Valley, owned and operated several successful small businesses in Bear Valley and has been a real estate Broker with Bear Valley Real Estate since 2007.

Among his achievements, Jeff is credited with carefully directing the District's capital improvement program providing for the installation of the District's first SCADA system, significant secondary treatment upgrades, completion of several energy efficiency enhancements and careful execution of the District's surface water discharge program.

Mr. Gouveia holds Bachelor Degrees in both Environmental Policy and Planning as well as Political Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to coming to Bear Valley, Jeff served as a field and lab technician with the Wastewater Services Department for the County of Santa Cruz.

Jeff is Grade I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
