Mission Statement

The Bear Valley Water District was formed in 1968 pursuant to California Water District Law, Division 13 of the Water Code of the State of California to provide sewer services to the residents and businesses of Bear Valley, including Bear Valley Mountain Resort and the Lake Alpine Basin. 

The Bear Valley Water District's mission is to provide reliable, high quality wastewater services at fair and reasonable prices for the greater Bear Valley community as well as to preserve and protect the environment for future generations.

For the administration of the District, except as otherwise provided by statute, the District's Board of Directors adopted Bylaws on August 5, 1968.  The Bylaws were amended by resolution and a vote of the Board of Directors in September 1980, September 7, 2010 and most recently on July 22, 2019.
